Industrial Disease
Industrial diseases and illnesses occur commonly when workers come into contact with dangerous substances or are exposed to risk or hazard due to harmful working practices or conditions. We understand how devastating it can be to learn that you or a loved one is suffering from illness and we will deal with your case as efficiently and compassionately as possible.
It is a complex area of law, best serviced by a specialist lawyer who understands the legal, medical and engineering issues involved. JSP has a designated Industrial Disease Unit headed by Nigel Askew.
The Unit
- maintains a database of companies and their insurers
- will refer you to organisations, charities and support groups
- will advise you on Benefits and rehabilitation
If you believe you are suffering from a work related medical condition, our advice to you is to act now. The time limit usually applied in industrial disease cases is 3 years from the date you knew, or could reasonably have been expected to know that you have suffered injury.
We can offer you an initial consultation at either of our offices in Lincoln and Skegness, at your home or over the telephone. Preliminary advice on your right to compensation will cost you nothing, so you have nothing to lose.
